Amenities

This truly is a site seeing campground. The park is located 1/2 mile from the entrance of Mesa Verde National Park. The facilities and the people are great. Before we get to the amenities let me say that the staff at the park is second to none. They are the friendliest bunch of folks you will meet. Very helpful and happy you are there. The laundry and bathhouse are spotless and some of the best we have encountered. They have a great little pool and 2 hot tubs, yes hot tubs neither of which were open when we visited. The area for outdoor seating has some nice views, fire pits, and grills. If you need to watch TV, well you will be disappointed with the reception and the internet is a bit to be desired. Frankly, you have Mesa Verde just up the road, get out of the RV and explore.

The Sites

The pull throughs are ample and shaded. The roads to the sites in the lower part of the Park are a bit tight but you will manage. They are gravel and level. They do have some premium sites at the top of the property that is very Big Rig friendly.

There is ample area to relieve and walk your dogs. I am giving this an ⛺️ ⛺️ ⛺️ ⛺️ out of 5 tents review for the mere fact that it is located less than 5 mins from the Park entrance. The park is great, the owners are responsive and the location can not be beaten.

Laundry/Bathhouse: Outstanding and very clean. This was located at the main building at the front of the property. The machines were in good order and the bathhouse had a number of stalls.

Grocery: The RV Park is located about 10 miles from downtown Cortez, CO. There are a number of options to choose from including a Walmart.

Restaurants: Your standard fast food and be found in Cortez, Wendy’s etc. I did not dine at any of the local restaurants.

Activities: You will find a pool, hot tube, yes hot tube, fire pit with tables and a grilling area. The National Park is but a stone’s throw away.
