Ginny, Zoey our Lab and I are what I have recently dubbed “Most Timers”. Let me explain that term. You hear about folks that have sold it all and began a life of full-time RVing. We took a slightly different approach to our retirement traveling.
We do love our home in middle Tennesse. It gives us a sense of home that we find very important. However, that does not stop us from traveling from early April through November in our Rig. Thus the “Most Time” description.
Ginny, Zoey, and I have put in over 52,000 miles since we started our travels during the summer of 2016. As I mentioned we are “Most Timers”. Our travel patterns appear to be much different from the average “Full Timer” or “Weekenders”.
Our itineraries might feature 10 to 15 stops over 2 months. Week-long stays may be the high end, three-night mid, and overnights at the low end of the scale. We have primarily stayed at RV resorts but will be spreading our wings this year with a mix of Harvest Host and BLM locations.
The original reason we got into RV travel was to be able to visit our daughter, son-in-law, and a grandchild on regular basis. They are a Military family so this means new locations every 3 years. The rig offers us the fixability to bring Zoey along, sightsee and stay as long as our kids can tolerate us without intruding on their personal space.
For my part, writes Robert Louis Stevenson , “I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.”

Hello, we are Dale and Ginny
Ginny and I first crossed paths in the mid -’70s while we were working at W.T. Grants in Chittenango, NY. I was trying to be a furniture salesman, she was working in the back office. Little did I know at the time that she would be my future wife.
Times moved on and we met up again through mutual friends and began dating. I had moved on to a job at Lafayette Radio and Electronics and soon was climbing the corporate ladder to a management job with the company and was transferred to Indianapolis.
I convinced her to move out with me a bit later, where I chased a career in the music business and her retail management. Many moves later we found ourselves in Louisville, KY where we were married in 1977. Ginny supported me as I again began climbed the corporate ladder leading to a 32 year career in the music industry. She on the other kept the home fires burning and raised our daughter Kate. We are now both retired.
Say Hello To Zoey
Zoey came into our lives around January of 2009. Kate, living with us at the time was looking for a dog. Off Ginny and Kate went to the Summer County Animal shelter and fell in love with the puppy that she was. A mix of Labrador & Golden Retriever, she is just a sweetheart with a great disposition.
Kate married and thought it best to leave Zoey with us. She has been a faithful companion for Ginny and me every since. She loves the RV and the fact she gets to travel with us.
When the RV bug hit
I think I caught the bug as a teen. On a bright sunny day in June 1965, my Dad arrives with a brand new 12′ pull behind travel trailer.
It would soon become my backyard camping spot, or a late-night sleep it off. We had that camper for a number of years. The trips were often short, a fishing stream north of town, a weekend trip to the state park. As for the wandering, I have always been the one in the family to wander off, exploring, taking photos, just observing my surroundings.

Highland Ridge – We could not be happier with our HR Roamer RES 34 7 Fifth Wheel. The company contrary to many has stood behind there warranties and has provided very good customer service when called upon. The rig has had its issues but in general, has been a solid performer over the last 3 years.
Dunlap RV – I would be filling this page if I rolled out all the good things about this dealership. We purchased our rig at the Lebonan, TN location the pricing was extremely fair. The service department has been fantastic and a lifesaver on many occasions.
Divi Theme – I use the Divi theme from ElegantThemes.com on our website and I love it! The best part of Divi is its Pagebuilder that lets you design the pages of your website using a simple drag and drop system. If you don’t know any CSS and HTML coding, but still want to be able to design a unique look for your website, Divi is a great theme to use.
Bluehost – Starting out you need a web host for your website. We started with Bluehost because it’s extremely easy to set up your first website with their one-click automatic WordPress installation. They have good support when you need some help, and their low prices are very hard to beat.
RVTrip Wizard – There are a number of free applications out there for you to use for trip planning. However, if you are looking for route guidance that takes into consideration your rig look no further. I like the fact they have also included with their annual fee a phone map guidance app at no additional cost. New features are being added it seems monthly, the latest being a driving radius driven by actual road data rather than by “crow flys”.
