We get a call from our Daughter the night before, she could use our help. I foolishly suggest we load up the rig and go in the morning. After thinking about it overnight I come to the realization we are far from being even close to packing up and going.
With that said we feel we need to move the rig, so the mowers can get the equipment around the rig and cut the yard. Let the games begin, the first move is to hook up. Because we had so much trouble
unhooking we failed to reset the lift system to match the truck hitch height. This typically happens when you drop the rig off or unhook. This will lead to lifting the rig only to find out we don’t know how to retract the legs without fearing we can’t stop the process. We figured it out about an hour later only to bury our chocks on one side and the rig now standing on one jack leg. Not good we thought. Another hour passes, and we figure that out and get the rig hooked up and moved into the driveway pad. We are now ringing wet from the heat and take a break.
The RV is not where I would like it to be. So, while Ginny is out shopping for our trip I get the courage to hook up and reset the rig. I get it done in a flash, beginners’ luck I guess. I surprise Ginny, we unhook with no major issues. Now for the leveling process, it levels in one try, green lights, success and smiles.
July 24th, 2016
Today I decide to do the pre-delivery inspection. I was having a bit of remorse not doing this prior to leaving the dealership. All the comments on the web would have you believe the worst. I am happy to say that the issues in my mind where minor. We are now ready to load the rig with all the stuff we think we need to travel.
July 30th, 2016 “Ginny Writes”
This week we took Boris and Natasha to Triple Creek Park and practiced parking. Although I say we it was me that needed the practice. I sucked! Dale did very well and clearly, he will be the primary parker of this team. At least for now. I know I will get better 
with time (PS I did not take out the driveway reflector) We continued to identify what needs to go on Natasha and load up. With all the moves we have made over the years you would think this would be rather simple, but not so. Loading a new home with basic necessities while keeping in mind lightweight and small is a challenge. Trying to use as much of what is extra that we have before going to buy more stuff. Dale has registered everything and puts together binders with all the info. They are so helpful and will our go-to point for the majority of our info needs. He has worked hard to get the info together and organized, Awesome!
Still, we have more things to get and then the challenge of selecting 
the right spot for each item. Guessing we will rearrange a few items as we get going. Then we will go to the scales. Hopefully, we will not have to remove anything.
