A) Site Quality: ⛺️⛺️⛺️.5/5

All the sites are gravel and level with a fair amount of space between sites. You will find that most have a concrete parking pad at the front of the site. The bulk of the pull-through sites have picnic tables. There is grass growing on most of the sites with the exception of what I will call the Class A overnight sites P1-P14. This was our second stay with these folks. Each time we landed in site #117. There was some shade provided by a couple of trees standing between sites 117 and 116. You will find a bit more shade and larger sites in the #123-132 area. All of the sites have 20/30/50 amp, water, sewer, and cable. The water pressure is very high, 80psi so have your regulator ready.  As mentioned the Class A sites are very long and well graveled. The streets leading to the sites are very wide, so you will not have any problems navigating to your location.

Insights

• Let’s start with the welcome staff, very happy, helpful and courteous. They will make sure things are right and you have a good indication of what the park offers. A guide will direct you to your site once you have checked in during regular business hours.
• There are over 160 sites in this park. I would say the percentage of back in vs pull through is about 75/25%. There seems to be ample room to jack your rig into the back in’s. A note on sites 1-102, they are back in’s and are occupied by what I will call long stay or folks that park their rig year-round for use as they see fit.
• Sites P1 – P14 are reserved for Class A big rig overnight parking or temporary parking. The entire area is gravel, very level and there is plenty of room to maneuver your rig and toad.
• For our next stay, I plan to request something in the 123 – 128 area. As mentioned above they do have a bit more shade and an east (nose) to west orientation of your rig. The sites are level with large parking pads and ample room to spread out.

B) Facilities: ⛺️⛺️⛺️⛺️/5 

Enjoy the heated indoor pool – open year-round. Relax in their adults-only Jacuzzi spa and sauna. The bathhouse and bathrooms are well maintained and very clean. You will find a laundry in the Clubhouse open 24 hours. There are plenty of washers and dryers in very good working order.

C) Amenities: ⛺️⛺️⛺️⛺️/5 

Pretty standard in this area. The pool, Jacuzzi, and sauna are complemented by an outdoor gated patio with picnic tables and gas grills. You have a very nice shaded pavilion facing north at the end of the Clubhouse with wooden rockers to relax. The playground although small will keep your toddlers occupied while you watch from the gated patio. The Clubhouse offers RV supplies and DVD rentals. You will enjoy free Wi-Fi and premium cable TV including HBO at every site, complimentary coffee, and free limousine service to the Big Texan Restaurant!

D) Location: ⛺️⛺️⛺️⛺️⛺️/5 

Whether you are coming from the east or west on I-40 the park is an easy find just off the service road on the north side of the highway. The food, grocery, and shopping options are endless and mins away.

E) Paw – Friendliness – 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾/5

Zoey gave this park, a big paws up approval. They have three very large dog runs for your use, over 3000 sq ft. in all. There is a good supply of pick-up bags and trash cans attached to the stations. The park will give you a good 1/4 mile + walk when you do a full circle. Put a couple of those together and you have your mile or so. She liked the grassy area and I liked the availability of trash cans for the occasional business stop.

Wanderers Take:

We enjoyed our stay here and would use the park again if we come through Amarillo. The prices are very reasonable for the amenities and location of the park. The folks in the front office could not be any more helpful. During our first stay, the weather forecast became very dicey. We felt that the quicker we were able to head east toward home the safer we would be. They saw the weather we would be facing if we stayed and allowed us to leave a day early and refunded our site fee’s for the day.

You will enjoy 40+ premium cable channels at the resort including HBO. The Wi-Fi is good and we were able to stream using our secure router. The park was pretty full of overnights at the time. There are some very interesting attractions that will make you want to stay an extra day to check them out.
