French Quarter RV Park – Destination Location

Rates: $105

What a fantastic location to visit the French Quarter, just a short ¼ mile walk puts you at the edge of the quarter. This comes at a price, $105 a night fees maybe some of the highest we have paid. The park is surrounded by an 8′ wall and you are tucked into the middle of the city. The property is gated and safe. The sites are all back in and I did have my first of the year back in challenge. There is a great courtyard pool located near the admin building. The Wifi is only available near this courtyard, otherwise, you are on your own dime. As I said we are in the heart of the city just a stone’s throw from I-10. I was expecting it to be very loud at night, but it calmed down around 11 pm. I have traveled back in the day for business and it was not much louder than a typical large city stay. Each site is paved with brick and with room to the park our truck next to the RV. The hook was quick. If you are a bike enthusiast or have a dog, the site is located next to a walking path and newer green space so there are miles to explore. The walk felt safe and within a mile of the RV park, I did not walk beyond that. Access to and from I-10 is tight but manageable for my 54′ of truck and rig. I would give this park ⛺️ ⛺️ ⛺️ ⛺️ 1/2 for its location alone. However, not sure we would come back to New Orleans again. This town is a one and done for Ginny and me.

Laundry/Bathhouse: Located in the main building we did not use either. They appear clean.

Grocery: You should pack in what you need for this visit. There are convenient stores nearby but I would think you will be eating in the Quarter I’m sure.

Restaurants: There are hundreds on your doorstep. The French Quarter is but a short 1/4 mile walk. Your cab and Uber availability are but a call away.

Activities: Again, if you can’t find something to do in the French Quarter you are but a bus ride away from all other locations. The main terminal for tour buses is just outside the park.
