Fort Belvoir Travel Camp
This Military RV Park is located on the banks of Gunston Cove. You are surrounded by woods and a nature preserve within walking distance of the park. We had a rainy day visit to the National Museum of The US Army. Well worth the visit. Give yourselves a half-day to tour the exhibits.
A Secret Garden Winery
This is a great little Harvest Host location off the beaten path. We needed a stop on your way to Myrtle Beach and this could not have been better. They offer pull-through sites with 50amp power for $20 if you need it. The wine is very sweet and made from the Muscadine grape.
Myrtle Beach North
This is one of our favorite Myrtle Beach RV parks. They have recently expanded the park with over 120 sites. We still prefer the old section, give the new section a little time to fill out with grass and landscaping. They have added a new pool area for the kids along with more laundry facilities and bathhouses.
Augusta/Ellijay GA
A little side trip to visit a friend in Northwestern GA routed through Augusta, GA. We typically stay at Heritage RV Park when we pass through. It was just an overnight this time, so a quick trip downtown to Bow Weevil was in order. Previous trips gave us time to visit Savanah Rapids, I thought I would share a couple of pictures.
Our friend has a summer camp in Ellijay, GA. This is a beautiful location on the southern side of the Smokie Mountains. The hikes are easy and the sites they provide are breathtaking.
